Today I wanted to get up to hike, but couldn’t so I slept. For breakfast we had baked oatmeal and it was delicious. Then we went down to the garage and Kat, Bren, and I did the second coat on all of the frames. When Kat took a break Dr.Cambell-Farrell came to do some. The talk was hilarious.
Lunch was soup and bread/ pansito with this sauce called ahi. After lunch we returned to the garage and while the rest of the team painted Harry, Christian, and I added texture to the boards. It was difficult at first and we had to start over a few times, but eventually we got the hang of it. Yeah? How ya been?
When we were done working for the day we all walked down into the town. It was beautiful and it really made me want to work with the people and pray for them. We took a public bus to this place called Mitad del Mundo or the Center of the World. While there we got about an hour to shop. Bren and I, inspired by Israel, got llama sweatshirts at the first store (a well worth it buy!).
Then Anna took us to a place where the lady knows Anna and El Refugio. She gave us water bottles and discounted prices. Everyone took a super long time in that store so Anna took me to the Tagua store. It looks like this prickely pinecone thing and is turned into jewelry.
From there we went to this monument and took pictures while standing in two hemispheres. From there we went to a restaurant to eat. On the way back we got to sit in the back of a truck. For fireside debriefing Christian told us his testimony. Anything after that though, I don’t remember.
